Overview:
Join our team as a Kennel Assistant and be part of a compassionate and dedicated animal care environment. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to animals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, pens and animal living areas
- Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns
- Provide basic customer service to pet owners visiting the facility
- Excellent telephone manner to take reservations
Necessary requirements:
- Level 3 in animal care qualification
- Experience working with animals is desirable but training will be given
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Be able to work as a team member
- Must have own transport due to location
- Uniform will be provided and must be worn during working hours
Work pattern will be 4 days one week and 6 the next to include every other weekend. This is a full time post with a contract after an initial 3 month probationary period. The contract will include 28 days paid holiday but staff are expected to work bank holidays as necessary. Usual hours will be 8-12 and 2-5 each day, with occasional early starts during busy periods.
