Professional/trustworthy part time experienced Carer/Nurse for elderly lady living with family at home

A private christian family is seeking a professional warm, kind and emotionally supportive visiting carer/nurse for an 83-year-old lady with dementia. This is a permanent, part-time position working 15 hours per week, possibly more by negotiation, on a self-employed basis.
Key responsibilities
The carer will visit the client's home and undertake the following:
· Provide friendly companionship.
· Organise and participate in mind-stimulating activities such as crosswords
· Engage in interesting conversation
· Read books and bible passages aloud. The applicant must be sympathetic to these beliefs.
· Assistance with washing and dressing and personal care
· Support with toileting needs
Some light domestic duties if needed.
About the client
Age: 83. The client is mobile and able to walk independently. She enjoys intelligent conversation and mind stimulating activities.
Medical conditions: Dementia
A carer with a Christian faith may be particularly suited to this role, though not essential.
Work environment
The client's home is smoke-free and pet-free and also shared with her family, so their privacy needs to be considered too.
Working pattern
15.5 hours per week, with the following indicative times (flexible by arrangement):
· Monday 11am to 2pm (3 hours)
· Wednesday 830 am to 1230 (4 hours)
· Saturday 830am to 1230 (4 hours)
· Sunday 1030 am to 1230 (3.5 hours)
· Additional hours during the week by mutual arrangement
Requirements
Qualifications:
Nursing or Care qualifications (desirable)
Language: Fluent English (required)
