About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Accounts Administrator to join our team. This is a varied role that combines accounts administration with transport support, ensuring the accurate processing of financial information and transport documentation.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
- Check, process, and input driver timesheets accurately.
- Prepare customer invoices and assist with invoice queries.
- Process purchase invoices and maintain supplier accounts.
- Match PODs to completed deliveries and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems for transport documentation.
- Support payroll by ensuring driver hours and timesheets are submitted accurately and on time.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and suppliers regarding documentation and account queries.
- Assist with general accounts administration, including data entry and account reconciliations.
- Provide administrative support to the transport and accounts teams as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an accounts, transport, or administrative role.
- Experience within the transport or logistics industry is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using transport management or accounting software is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
