Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacist to join our healthcare team who is passionate about delivering safe, effective, and person‑centred care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical services within a busy pharmacy environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in patient care and medication management, ensuring safe and effective treatment for diverse patient populations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our pharmacy provides exceptional services to the local community.
Duties
- Oversee safe dispensing, clinical checks, and medicines optimisation.
- Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Drive NHS and private services including vaccinations, NMS, Pharmacy First, and health screenings.
- Support pharmacy technicians, dispensers, and counter staff.
- Ensure full adherence to GPhC standards, SOPs, and legal frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting
- Build strong relationships with patients, GP practices, and local health partners.
Qualifications
- GPhC‑registered Pharmacist
- Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
Pay: £25.00-£27.00 per hour
