FLT Clamp Truck Driver / Yard Operative Location: Scandinavian Way, Stallingborough / Pay: £14.50p/h / Hours: 07:00-17:00 Mon-Fri / Immediate Start Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Clamp Truck Driver / Yard Operative to join a busy waste and recycling operation handling plastic bales.
This is a hands-on role that combines forklift truck operation with general yard duties and production support. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organised yard, loading and unloading vehicles, and supporting the recycling process where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Clamp Truck FLT safely and efficiently
- Organising and maintaining the yard to ensure smooth operations
- Loading curtain-sided trailers
- Loading walking floor trailers
- Loading shipping containers using a steel ramp
- Unloading incoming wagons and deliveries
- Moving and stacking plastic bales within the yard
- Assisting at the baling table when required
- Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
- Completing daily equipment checks and reporting any issues
Requirements
- Valid FLT licence with Clamp Truck experience preferred
- Previous experience working within a waste, recycling, logistics, or industrial environment
- Experience loading curtain siders, walking floors, and containers is advantageous
- Good awareness of health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to assist across different areas of the operation
