Measurement and Assessment:
- Accurately measure window openings to ensure proper fit.
- Assess the condition of existing windows and frames.
Window Installation:
- Install windows according to specifications and building codes.
- Fit and secure windows into place, ensuring proper alignment.
- Seal and weatherproof windows to prevent leaks and drafts.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment for installation.
Frame and Sill Preparation:
- Prepare window frames and sills for installation.
- Repair or replace damaged frames or sills as needed.
Glass Handling:
- Handle and install various types of glass, double-glazed windows, and other specialized glass products.
Sealing and Insulating:
- Apply sealants and insulation materials to ensure energy efficiency.
- Address any gaps or spaces to prevent air and water infiltration.
Safety Procedures:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Provide information on maintenance and care to customers.
Material Handling:
- Handle and transport window materials safely.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the installation process.
- Provide solutions to unexpected challenges that may arise.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that the installed windows meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct inspections to verify the integrity of the installation work.
Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including measurements, materials used, and any issues encountered.
