Clark Wood is working with a successful and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Altrincham who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join their expanding team.
The firm provides a high-quality service to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and limited companies across a range of sectors. As an Accounts Senior, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax work while building strong relationships and providing a proactive, professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns where required
- Assisting with management accounts preparation
- Supporting and reviewing the work of junior members of the team
- Liaising directly with clients, handling queries and providing accounting support
- Working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver excellent client service
- Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
Skills & Experience
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Experience managing accounts preparation for a varied client portfolio
- Strong knowledge of cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
