Duties
- Deliver personalized care that meets each young person’s individual needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with colleagues, families, and external professionals to support positive development outcomes
- Support young people with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, education, and recreational pursuits
- Foster open communication by actively listening and engaging with young people to promote trust and understanding
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, progress notes, and incident reports using IT systems efficiently
- Drive company vehicles responsibly to support outings, appointments, or activities as required
- Promote a positive environment by encouraging independence, resilience, and social skills among residents
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting is highly desirable
- Valid driving license with the ability to drive company vehicles safely
- Knowledge of childcare practices and experience developing or following care plans
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with young people, families, and team members
- Strong IT skills for record-keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to challenging situations
- A caring attitude combined with a proactive approach to supporting young people's needs
