Vivisol are currently hiring for an Accounts Payable Assistant to provide support as part of our finance team. We are looking for someone to join our team to primarily post credit cards for members of the business, we offer a generous package including; 33 days holiday (including BH), excellent training and development programs, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, yearly bonus scheme, as well as a starting salary of £25k-£28k.
The working hours are:
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week.
There is a possibility of the position going permanent after the contract, depending on the needs of the business.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounts payable, and a relevant qualification is desired. All specific training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duty for this role is posting credit cards, with some additional, adhoc accounts payable duties, and can include the following:
- Processing a high volume of purchase invoices to ensure all expenditure is approved under the company's authorisation procedures and in accordance with company policy
- Reviewing and reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts against supplier statements on a monthly basis
- Regularly reviewing and process staff expense claims and payments in accordance with group policy
- Reconciling and process monthly credit card claims and follow up outstanding claims and issues
- Ensuring timely and accurate filing of purchase invoices, cash and credit card claims
- To have a pro-active approach to follow up and resolve queries in a timely manner
- Preparing bi-weekly GBP, USD and Euro payments runs by BACS and cheques to adhere to supplier payments terms
Required candidate experience:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable position
- A relevant qualification in finance
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail
