Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes within your designated section, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes, ensuring creativity and consistency.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Manage inventory levels within your section, minimizing waste while ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available for meal preparation.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Serve as a key contributor during busy service times, demonstrating excellent cooking skills and attention to detail under pressure.
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Demonstrated culinary expertise with a focus on meal preparation for diverse cuisines or specialized menus.
- Prior experience working in a restaurant setting or similar hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is essential to ensure compliance and guest safety.
- Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction is desirable.
Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
