Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Engage warmly with customers, taking their orders and providing excellent service to foster loyalty
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring food safety standards are met at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when needed
- Manage cash register transactions accurately using basic math skills for handling payments and giving change
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, notifying management when restocking is necessary
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices to uphold hygiene standards in food handling and preparation
- Serving experience that demonstrates strong communication skills and customer focus
- Basic math proficiency for processing transactions efficiently and accurately
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job
- Strong organizational skills to keep work areas tidy and supplies well-stocked
