Overview
We are seeking a reliable, motivated and physically fit Warehouse Worker/ Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse through materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in warehouse environments, with a strong focus on safety, organisation, and mechanical aptitude. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a fast-paced logistics setting and contribute to the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. The successful candidate must be physically fit, able to withstand multiple, short durations of arduous lifting, loading and sorting. This person must also be mindful to handle our goods with due care and attention. An ability to communicate respectfully with customers is essential.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods manually and using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately
- Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment or storage
- Maintain organisation within the warehouse by stocking shelves and ensuring products are stored correctly
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists
- Deliver customer loads to site. Offload into specific detail
- Perform basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as needed
- Support stock rotation procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve overall warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment use
- Valid forklift licence is advantage
- Full clean driving licence is essential
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction or materials handling is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order processing
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Physical fitness to lift and stack product bags (25kg) for periods and perform manual handling tasks effectively
