The CAD Engineer will be responsible for producing, updating and maintaining product definition information (PDI) including 3D models, product manufacturing information (PMI) as well as detailed engineering drawings that are commercially viable and suitable to manufacture at Martin-Baker.

The Opportunity
This is a varied role, as CAD Engineer you’ll be involved with workload planning, generating BOM structures and change management activities, as well as tolerance and mass analysis, required to support the development of the designers, communicating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the optimum design definition through in-depth consultation with these individuals associated with projects that you’ll interact with.
You’ll work effectively across a broad range of products, support and testing equipment, textiles and technologies, which will include mechanical components, machined and fabricated; as well as electronic/ electrical, pyrotechnics, mechanisms and machines.
This role will be based onsite working from Denham.
What We’re Looking For
- Seasoned knowledge of engineering design specifications including 3D models, PMI and supporting documentation such as drawings, to relevant specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T application.
- Strong knowledge of 3D CAD modelling techniques.
- Experience of machined and fabricated components and tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge and application of engineering principals and science.
- Strong data manipulation, numerical and communication skills.
- Material and process selection experience.
- Calculation knowledge for part sizing, within a manufacturing/assembly environments.
- Advantageous - Siemens NX and Teamcenter systems experience.
