Position Overview:
As a Semi- Skilled Steel Work Labourer, you will play a key role in assisting our skilled steelworkers in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of steel Fabrications. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the loading, unloading, and moving of steel materials.
- Prepare and clean steel components before / during fabrication.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure materials are handled and stored properly to avoid damage.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled workers during installations and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations at all times.
- Report any safety hazards, injuries, or concerns to management promptly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Steelwork or a similar semi-skilled labouring role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods).
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly on the job.
- A valid driver's license is essential
