Air Handling Systems Ltd are a leading manufacturer of Air Handling Units based in Shildon, County Durham We are looking for a hard working, adaptable, hands on person to work within our Finishing Department who can provide a broad range of skills and work under pressure in a manufacturing environment. We offer a 4 day working week with an attractive holiday package.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to understand / interpret drawings
- Fitting of air handling unit components
- Competent in application of sealants
- Cleaning and degreasing of finished units
- Shrink wrapping finished units
- Use of power tools
- Adhere to good housekeeping standards.
- Work safely and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and maintain PPE provided.
Person Specification
· Experience working within a busy shop floor environment
· Willingness to learn new skills
Skills, Abilities and Education
· Ability to pay attention to a high level of detail
· Able to apply practical skills
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to ensure production targets are met
· Be able to communicate clearly to other people within the departments and supervisors
· Be willing to work outside normal hours at short notice
