Delivery Driver / Furniture Delivery Operative (Self-Employed Preferred)
We are a small business manufacturing high-end bespoke metal furniture and are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Furniture Delivery Operative to join our team.
This role involves delivering medium to large table frames to residential and business addresses across mainland England and Wales.
About the role:
- Driving duties typically 2–3 days per week
- Delivery routes usually last 2–3 days, depending on location
- Around 10–15 drops per route
- Overnight accommodation provided during delivery runs
- Deliveries across England and Wales
- Working days are generally Wednesday to Thursday
- Hours vary, with early starts (around 5:30am) during delivery runs
- Typically one week off per month, although this can vary depending on workload
- £14-16 per hour based on a self employed basis
- Over night stays food allowance £25 per night
This role would ideally suit a self-employed individual who is flexible and able to work hours in line with business needs.
Key requirements:
- Must be over 25 years old (insurance purposes)
- Full clean driving licence with no penalty points or endorsements
- Confident driving a Luton van
- Must have own transport to reach the workplace (no public transport access)
- Physically fit and able to handle medium to large furniture items
- Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping
- Able to maintain a high level of housekeeping
- Comfortable communicating with customers, especially if delays occur
This is a great opportunity for someone dependable, flexible, and happy working in a hands-on, customer-facing role with regular travel.
