Kinder City Nursery on Hitchin Road are expanding are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. This vital role involves delivering high-quality childcare and early learning experiences to children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. As a Level 3 Practitioner, you will take on leadership responsibilities within the team, support junior staff, and foster positive relationships with children and their families. Your expertise in nursery practices, management, and child development will help create an enriching setting where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily activities and educational sessions tailored to the developmental needs of children in your care
- Support and mentor Level 2 Practitioners and apprentices to ensure consistent delivery of high standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that complies with all health and safety regulations
- Build strong communication channels with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and wellbeing
- Observe, assess, and record children's developmental milestones to support personalised learning plans
- Manage resources efficiently and prepare engaging materials for activities
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly within nursery or early childhood education environments
- Deep understanding of childcare principles, child development stages, and nursery routines
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement in all interactions
- Valid driving license is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
