Thrive Communication Therapy is an independent Speech and Language Therapy service supporting children, families and educational settings across the North West. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SALTA) to join our friendly team. Working across mainstream schools in Greater Manchester, you will play a key role in helping children develop their communication skills, confidence and access to learning.

What You’ll Do:
- Deliver effective support to mainstream schools using the Universal, Targeted and Specialist (UTS) model under the guidance and support of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Deliver speech and language therapy programmes and interventions planned by qualified Speech and Language Therapists, supporting school staff to implement agreed communication strategies consistently.
- Manage a delegated caseload and intervention timetable under the supervision of qualified Speech and Language Therapists.
- Work closely with our team, school staff, SENCOs, parents/carers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support inclusive practice and embed communication strategies within educational settings.
- Maintain accurate intervention records and contribute to progress monitoring.
- Prepare therapy resources and materials.
- Support outcome measurement and data collection.
- Attend supervision, team meetings and training activities.

About You:
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with children or young people in educational, healthcare or community settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and education staff.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while following guidance and supervision.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant or a graduate of a Speech and Language Therapy degree programme.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
- Knowledge of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
- Experience supporting children with Autism, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) or social communication differences.
- Relevant qualification in education, health, childcare or psychology.
