ABOUT US
BalTraWed UK Ltd is the exclusive UK importer and distributor of Podkovan, a premium Czech lager with deep brewing heritage. We're on a mission to build Podkovan into a recognised premium beer brand across the UK - and we're at the most exciting stage of that journey, growing our customers, range and reputation fast.
We're a young, entrepreneurial company where things move quickly and every person makes a real difference. Joining us now means getting in early and helping shape how the business grows.
THE ROLE - WORKING ALONGSIDE THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
This is far more than an administration job. As Commercial Operations Coordinator, you'll work directly alongside the Managing Director - involved in almost every part of the business and trusted with real responsibility from the start. From sales and logistics to finance, suppliers, breweries and customers, you'll gain a genuine, inside view of how a growing company actually runs.
Few roles offer this much variety or this direct a view of how a business works. You'll build broad, practical experience far faster than you would in a narrow, single-function job - so if you're eager to understand business from the inside and grow quickly, this is a rare opportunity.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This isn't a role for a career administrator looking for more of the same. It's for someone bright, adaptable and commercially curious, with a good dose of common sense, who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly and taking ownership. You're probably:
- Sharp, quick to learn and genuinely curious about how a business works
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
- A natural problem-solver with plenty of common sense
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership without waiting to be asked
- Commercially aware and interested in the bigger picture
- Trustworthy and discreet - you'll work closely with senior management and handle commercially sensitive information, so integrity is essential
- A clear, confident communicator - friendly and professional with customers and suppliers
- Calm under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities
- Positive, adaptable and happy to turn your hand to whatever the day needs
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Don't worry if you haven't done all of this before. In every area above, we value the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn far more than previous experience - and we'll give you the training and support to grow into it.
TECHNOLOGY & AI
We're a modern business that embraces technology, and we actively encourage our team to use the best tools available to work smarter. We want someone who sees technology as a way to improve productivity, automate routine tasks, speed up research and solve business problems - not just to get by. Ideally you'll be:
- Highly IT literate and quick to master new software
- Confident across Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Genuinely interested in using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to automate repetitive work, draft and summarise documents, research faster and tackle problems more effectively
- A capable online researcher who knows how to find answers quickly
We don't expect you to be an expert in any one system - we care that you're curious, tech-confident and excited to make the most of modern tools. Experience with CRMs, HubSpot, Xero or AI tools is a welcome bonus, not a requirement.
EXPERIENCE
We care far more about attitude and aptitude than years on a CV. Intelligence, initiative, enthusiasm and adaptability matter more to us than a long track record. If you have the drive to learn fast and grow, we'd love to hear from you - relevant experience is welcome but not essential, and we'll back the right person.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
This role would suit either someone with one to two years' office, operations or commercial experience who is ready for a broader, more varied role - or an outstanding graduate with the right attitude, common sense and ambition. If that sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you.
WHERE THIS ROLE CAN GO
This role is designed to grow. We're building the business quickly, and we want the person who joins us now to grow with it. Do well, and this position can develop into a much more senior operations or commercial management role - leading systems, processes and people as the company expands. With regular performance and development reviews, and an early salary review in your first year, your progress is recognised early and often. For the right, ambitious person, this is a genuine ground-floor opportunity to build a career.
