This position is based in Basildon, Essex - Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.30pm (37.5hrs per week). No Hybrid Working
The ability to drive would be beneficial due to company location. Public transport cannot be replied upon
Previous office experience would be beneficial
Previous experience/knowledge of Warehouse Operations would be beneficial

ROLE: This is a trainee role. The Post holder will be working with the UK Transport planner to learn how to :
· Plan UK domestic Vehicles
· Planning of loads to maximise returns for the business
· Maintain high quality service levels to clients
· Enter consignments on appropriate systems
· Assist with managing Co. fleet vehicles and third party supplier relationships
· Working alongside the European Department team to ensure the smooth running of the deliveries and collections
· Bookings Jobs & Manifests onto FMS system.
· Ensuring any discrepancies are reported to relevant European operators
· Resolving issues that drivers may encounter on a day-to-day basis or reporting the issue to relevant department to get resolution
· Dealing directly with existing clients to answer any question relating to their consignment in a courteous professional manner.
· Quoting clients from a designated tariff
· Ensuring all consignments have POD assigned to them and then upload onto relevant system.
· Dealing with any issues warehouse may encounter in identifying freight.
· To report any issues in a respectful and polite manner to the relevant department personnel.
· Planning deliveries to domestic vehicles efficiently and instructing drivers accordingly.
· Printing daily run sheets
· Ensuring vehicles are run to maximize profitability
· Ensuring drivers comply with UK driver’s hours regs
· Understanding the basics of load capacities and vehicle restrictions.
· Ensuring files are charged correctly and efficiently
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
