Tec Reports Group currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Desktop Vehicle Damage Assessor.
Join our dynamic team as a Desktop Vehicle Damage Assessor, where you will play a vital role in evaluating vehicle damages efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will help streamline the claims process, ensuring customers receive prompt and fair assessments. You will be responsible for visually inspecting vehicles, and estimating repair costs.
Ideally Proven experience in a VDA role within the accident repair industry, training given for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Visually carrying out detailed and accurate assessments of damaged vehicles using Audatex or similar systems
- Prepare detailed damage reports and accurate repair estimates based on visual and mechanical evaluations.
- Communicate findings clearly to customers, insurance adjusters, and repair shops, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
- Provide repair authority to approved repairers in line with agreed terms and conditions
- Review and validate labour hours, parts, decals, paint specifications and other estimate-related costs
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve assessment procedures and ensure consistent service quality.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of Thatcham Repair Methods.
- ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) qualification.
- AQP qualification or actively working towards the qualification.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Attention to detail in documenting damage assessments and estimating repair costs thoroughly.
- Prior experience in vehicle damage assessment or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- ·Applying salvage categories following the ABI Code of practice
- A proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Pay: £27,500.00-£33,000.00 per hour
