Join our team as we launch Smash & Shake in Ashford! We're a new smash burger concept serving Angus beef smash burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, loaded fries, and shakes, plus breakfast bagels and coffee in the mornings. We're looking for energetic, reliable people to help us deliver great food and service in a fast-paced, friendly environment.
We're hiring for three roles:
Grill Chef (x3)
Cook our smash burgers, steaks, and Philly cheesesteaks to spec — searing patties, griddling steak, and managing multiple orders at pace
Maintain a clean, organised grill station in line with food hygiene regulations
Previous grill or kitchen experience required — you should be comfortable working a hot line at speed
Kitchen Assistant (x5)
Support food prep — portioning, prepping toppings and sauces, and keeping ingredients fresh and stocked
Help manage order flow and keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy periods
Full training given, bring reliability and a willingness to learn
Customer Service Team Member (x5)
Take orders and serve customers at the counter with a friendly, efficient manner
Handle collection orders and coffee/breakfast service during morning opens
Have a positive attitude and good communication skills
What we offer
5-hour shifts on a 7-day rolling rota, including evenings and weekends — exact days/times to be confirmed
Approx. 28 hours per week, with guaranteed base hours plus flexible additional hours as we grow
