Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant (Bank) to provide high-quality support within our care home and home care setting. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow personalised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals (where qualified)
- Document care provided accurately using IT systems and maintain detailed records
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support with domestic tasks including meal preparation and light housekeeping where necessary
- Uphold health and safety standards in line with organisational policies
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
- Good IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Valid driving licence is advantageous
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required
