Love football and want to turn your passion into a career? Join Herefordshire FA as a School Sport Coach Level 4 Apprentice and play a key role in developing grassroots football across local schools and communities.
This apprenticeship offers aspiring coaches the chance to:
- Earn while you learn and gain hands-on experience alongside experienced football development professionals.
- Achieve a nationally recognised qualification (Level 4) to kick-start a successful career in sport.
- Make a positive impact by delivering coaching sessions, developing young leaders, and promoting inclusivity.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Session Delivery: Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality football coaching sessions for children and young people in school and community settings.
- Inclusive Football: Work alongside the Schools Lead to deliver sessions tailored for mainstream and disability sectors.
- Partnership Building: Collaborate with schools and grassroots clubs to create sustainable after-school programmes and direct pathways into affiliated club football.
- Events & Tournaments: Assist with the organisation and delivery of school football festivals, tournaments, and community events.
- County Development: Support Herefordshire FA’s strategic objectives to grow and broaden participation in grassroots football.
- Apprenticeship Learning: Complete the Level 4 School Sports Coach qualification, directly applying your studies to your everyday work.
Typical Week: Delivering coaching sessions across local schools and the HFA site, with occasional support needed for evening or weekend football programmes and events.
