No Worries Commercial Cleaning is looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on Cleaning Team Leader to join our team working at a local school.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous cleaning experience and is confident taking responsibility for a small team, maintaining high cleaning standards and building a positive working relationship with the school.
The Role
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 6:30pm
Hours per week: 17.5 hours
Weeks per year: 41 weeks – 39 weeks term time + 2 weeks deep cleaning
Pay: £13.25 per hour, pro rata to include holiday pay
Key Responsibilities
As Cleaning Team Leader, you will be responsible for both hands-on cleaning and overseeing the cleaning team to ensure the school is maintained to a consistently high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out cleaning duties across the school to a high standard.
- Leading and overseeing a team of cleaners.
- Allocating tasks and ensuring the team stays on top of the daily cleaning schedule.
- Checking cleaning standards and addressing any areas that need improvement.
- Ensuring the school is clean, presentable and ready for the following school day.
- Liaising professionally with school staff regarding cleaning requirements, feedback and any issues.
- Communicating regularly with our Operations Manager and providing updates where required.
- Reporting any issues, maintenance concerns or problems promptly.
- Monitoring cleaning products and stock levels.
- Ordering cleaning products and supplies when required.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment and products are used correctly and safely.
- Supporting the team with training, guidance and day-to-day queries.
- Ensuring company cleaning procedures, health & safety requirements and COSHH procedures are followed.
- Completing any required cleaning checks and records.
- Helping to maintain a positive, professional relationship between No Worries Commercial Cleaning, the school and the cleaning team.
- Taking responsibility for the additional deep-cleaning weeks during school holidays.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Able to communicate professionally with school staff, cleaners and management.
- Happy to be hands-on and carry out cleaning duties themselves.
- Able to work independently and use their own initiative.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
- Able to maintain high standards even when working to tight deadlines.
- Comfortable keeping track of cleaning products and ordering stock when needed.
- Experienced in a cleaning or supervisory role.
Previous team leader or supervisory experience within the cleaning industry is preferred. Commercial cleaning experience is essential.
