Nexphase Energy is looking for a reliable Driver / Electrical Labourer to join our growing EV charger installation team.
This is a practical, hands-on role working alongside our existing installation team, primarily carrying out domestic EV charger installations and associated electrical work.
A full UK driving licence is essential. You will be required to drive a company van to jobs and must have a driving record acceptable to our company vehicle insurer.
We are not looking for someone currently attending college or requiring day-release for an electrical course. This is not an apprenticeship or a qualified electrician position.
We're looking for somebody practical, hardworking and reliable who wants regular site-based work and can develop their skills as the business grows.
What you'll be doing
- Driving the company van to installation sites
- Working alongside our EV charger installation team
- Running cables internally and externally
- Installing data cables
- Drilling and routing through walls
- Installing containment including conduit, trunking and cable clips
- Mounting EV chargers and associated equipment
- Loading and unloading tools and materials
- Preparing installations ready for electrical completion and testing
- Assisting with other electrical work including garage upgrades and rewires
- Occasionally collecting or delivering materials when required
- Helping keep installations organised and moving efficiently throughout the day
What we're looking for
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Driving record acceptable to our company vehicle insurer
- Any current penalty points or driving convictions must be declared
- Not currently attending college or day-release training
- Able to get to the Stafford area for early morning starts
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable driving a Transit Custom-sized van
- Hardworking and physically capable
- Practical and comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to follow instructions and established installation methods
- Able to work at a good pace while maintaining a good standard of work
- Organised and willing to use initiative
- Flexible and willing to help wherever required
- Previous electrical, construction or trade experience is useful but not essential
Pay & Work
- Starting from £90 per day
- Pay reviewed as skills and responsibility develop
- 2–3 days per week initially
- Opportunity for additional days as workload increases
- Company van provided for work-related driving
- Opportunity to develop practical skills and take on additional responsibility as the business grows
We're looking for someone who wants to become a useful and dependable long-term member of the team, rather than somebody simply looking for occasional labouring work.
You must be able to get to the Stafford area early each morning ready for the day's work.
