Kidz Hub Day Nursery is looking for a passionate, experienced and inspiring Deputy Nursery Manager to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example and making a real difference to children's early learning and development. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the nursery while supporting and motivating the team to deliver exceptional care and education.
This is a hands-on role, and you will work within staff ratios, spending most of your time supporting children and practitioners in the rooms. We're looking for someone who is confident, approachable and committed to creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children, families and staff can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example, promoting outstanding early years practice across the nursery.
- Inspire and support the staff team through coaching, mentoring and day-to-day guidance.
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, care, health and safety, and compliance.
- Support children's learning and development through high-quality interactions and experiences.
- Help drive continuous improvement and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.
- Ensure staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times in line with EYFS requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or above) – essential.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally in a senior role such as Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or Room Leader.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
- Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain) – essential.
- Confident with written observations, record keeping and communicating with parents.
Pay: Up to £14.50 per hour
