Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Ground Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess valid Dumper and Roller certification, along with PVM (Plant Vehicle Movement) cards, demonstrating their expertise in operating essential machinery safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate Dumper trucks and Roller machines with precision, adhering to safety protocols and project specifications
- Assist with ground preparation tasks such as leveling, grading, and site clearance to support construction activities
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Support the safe movement of plant vehicles around the site using your PVM certification
- Collaborate with team members to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including wearing appropriate PPE at all times
- Assist with general ground work duties as needed, including digging, trenching, or material handling
Experience
- Proven experience as a ground worker on construction sites with a focus on operating Dumper trucks and Rollers
- Valid certifications for Dumper operation and Roller operation; PVM cards essential for plant vehicle movement
- Strong mechanical knowledge to identify potential equipment issues and perform basic troubleshooting
- Experience operating excavators or similar machinery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
