- Exposure to digital machine connectivity and smart manufacturing technologies
- Continuous improvement experience across material flow, replenishment systems, Kanban, cycle wheels, 5S and waste reduction methodologies
- Optical manufacturing principles such as single and multi-fiber termination
- Test methods of optical connectors
- Fiber Optic harness assembly
Ability to identify, recommend, and implement improved manufacturing processes and technical solutions
- Significant hands-on experience within a manufacturing or production environment in a related industry
- Proven capability to manage projects and diagnose production challenges across connector, cable or optical assembly and secondary processes.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
- Experience maintaining ERP systems, managing budgets and reporting on project outcomes
- Solid understanding of quality methodologies, including process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans and inspection plans
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S+1, mistake proofing, TPM and standardised work.
- Track record of contributing to capital investment projects and delivering measurable results
- Experience coordinating and managing external suppliers or resources within a manufacturing setting
- Strong results-driven mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across teams
- Experience using CAD and manufacturing systems such as Creo, SolidWorks or SAP
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification (e.g. Red X).
- Tooling and fixture design experience using design software
- Demonstrated project management capability when delivering complex initiatives
