General Manager – Cocktail & Pizza Bar
Location: Archive, Cheadle Hulme
Salary: £35k pa plus profit share
We are an independent cocktail and pizza bar looking for an experienced and ambitious General Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our venue.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences while helping grow a successful business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the bar and front-of-house team.
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop staff members.
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service.
- Lead by example during busy service periods.
- Manage staff rotas, scheduling and labour costs.
- Monitor stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Drive sales growth through excellent service, upselling and local marketing initiatives.
- Monitor performance, turnover and profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Bar Manager, Assistant Manager or similar hospitality management role.
- Strong cocktail knowledge and hospitality expertise.
- Proven experience recruiting, training and managing teams.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the venue.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and a track record of increasing sales and profitability.
- A positive, energetic and hands-on approach.
