Eco Clean Exeter is looking for a reliable, friendly and detail-oriented cleaner to join our growing team.
We clean regular domestic clients' homes across Exeter using eco-friendly cleaning products and reusable cleaning materials that are better for our customers, our team and the environment.
Unlike many cleaning companies, we aim to provide cleaners with the same regular customers, locations and hours each month. This allows you to build relationships with your customers, take ownership of your work, and deliver consistently high standards.
We take great pride in helping people maintain clean, healthy homes and are looking for someone who shares those values.
About the Role
This is a mobile cleaning role using one of our company e-bikes to travel between customers.
You will initially work alongside the business owner during your training period, learning our systems, standards and cleaning methods. Once confident, you will be allocated your own regular customers and will represent our brand independently in their homes.
This is primarily a lone-working role, so reliability, professionalism and self-motivation are essential.
No driving licence is required.
A Typical Day
Our cleaners typically look after just two customers per day, allowing enough time to deliver a high-quality service rather than rushing between jobs.
Example day:
- 8:30am – Collect equipment and prepare for the day
- 8:40am – Travel to first customer by e-bike
- 9:00am – 11:30am – Domestic clean
- 11:30am – 11:50am – Cycle to second customer
- 11:50am – 2:20pm – Domestic clean
- Return equipment to base by e-bike
- Typical finish around 3:00pm

Responsibilities
- General domestic cleaning
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
- Dusting and polishing surfaces
- Making beds and general tidying
- Following customer-specific cleaning requirements
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness
- Completing tasks independently and efficiently
- Looking after company equipment and materials
- Representing Eco Clean Exeter professionally in customers' homes
Essential Requirements
- Previous professional cleaning experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Friendly and professional manner
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently
- Physically fit and capable of cycling between customers
- Comfortable cycling an e-bike in all weather conditions
- Strong time management skills
- Aged 18 or over due to lone-working requirements
- Successful DBS check (required before working in customers' homes)
- Right to work in the UK
Training & Development
We don't just clean homes.
As the business grows, additional hours are regularly available across our other services, including:

- Commercial cleaning

- End of tenancy cleaning

Full training will be provided across all areas of the business.
