We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced Assistant Spa Manager to support the day to day operation of our spa and help drive excellence across all aspects of the guest journey.
We are seeking a dynamic and professional Assistant Spa Manager to support the daily operations of our luxury spa. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a prestigious environment, managing client relations, and ensuring the smooth running of all spa activities. The Assistant Spa Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of service while supporting the Spa Manager in achieving operational excellence.
Duties
Support reception operations including bookings, amendments and guest account management.
Ensure accurate processing of payments, floats, and end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
Maintain accurate records in line with company and legislative standards.
Monitor daily schedules to maximise efficiency and revenue opportunities.
Identify upselling opportunities and encourage team members to achieve sales targets.
Maintain strong knowledge of promotions, packages and services.
Promote spa services, retail products and hotel facilities to maximise revenue.
Maintain cleanliness, presentation and operational standards through the spa.
To actively check the spas for maintenance and complete the weekly checklists,
To ensure team members are trained on water testing and understand the procedure for when readings are not safe.
To ensure flow training is completed by all department team members.
To ensure recording of weekly reports are sent to the relevant managers, when they should.
Actively promote the hotel and its products.
To oversee daily Spa operations and ensure seamless guest journeys.
To provide leadership support to the Spa team during shifts.
To resolve guest concerns and maintain exceptional service standards.
Proven experience in a supervisory or duty management role within hospitality or spa environments.
Team Support & Absence Management: In the event of unexpected team absence or sickness, liaise with approved agencies and internal resources to source suitable cover where operationally required, ensuring service standards are maintained.
Diary & Systems Management: Manage spa bookings efficiently using the relevant booking systems, maintaining accurate diary control, demonstrating strong computer literacy, attention to detail, and confident use of spa management and configuration software.
Rota management, to be able to plan ahead and ensure staffing levels are correct for the level of business. In the absence of the spa manager be able to complete payroll requirements on time.
To provide training to all team members, Department inductions, system training, and department open and close procedures.
To stay up to date with current treatments in the beauty industry and products from Temple Spa to assist in spa growth.
Skills
- Proven management experience within a retail or hospitality setting, with strong team management skills
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional phone etiquette
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time effectively
- Experience in sales management and merchandising to drive revenue growth
- Administrative experience with proficiency in relevant software applications
- Ability to handle customer interactions with professionalism and tact
- Organised approach to work with keen attention to detail and high standards of service delivery
