Overview
Join our team as a self employed School Driver / Airport Transfer Driver and play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of students / clients to and from school / Airports etc. This energetic position requires a dedicated professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe driving environment while providing excellent service to students, staff, and parents and private clients. As a School Driver, you will be responsible for operating our own vehicles or your own (if applicable) with precision, performing routine maintenance checks, and communicating effectively to ensure smooth daily operations. Your commitment will help foster a positive and secure transportation experience for our young learners or travelling clients.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to transport students along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking mechanical components, brakes, lights, and safety equipment to ensure optimal condition
- Maintain clear communication with school staff and dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as refueling, cleaning, and minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or maintenance needs
- Foster a positive environment through respectful communication and professionalism with students, parents, and clients

- Valid taxi / psv license with a clean driving record
- Valid Licenced vehicle (if owner operating)
- CPC / Digital Tachograph card for PSV vehicle
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driving roles preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Demonstrated ability to operate vehicles safely under various conditions
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or school bus driver is highly desirable
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to school transportation
