Housekeeping Assistant Manager
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated housekeeping manager to join the Scotch Whisky Experience facilities team, and assist in delivering an exceptional visitor experience.
In this key role you will lead the housekeeping operation at our five-star visitor attraction, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene are maintained throughout both our customer-facing and behind-the-scenes areas helping create a welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
What you will be doing:
- Leading and supervising the housekeeping team day-to-day
- Allocating tasks to ensure full coverage across all areas
- Delivering training, coaching, and ongoing development for your team
- Maintaining outstanding 5-star cleanliness and presentation standards
- Conducting regular inspections and supporting deep cleaning projects
- Managing stock levels, cleaning supplies, and equipment
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and COSHH regulations
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Contributing to an exceptional visitor experience at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role
- Background in hospitality, tourism, or visitor attractions (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good knowledge of cleaning practices, chemicals, and safety standards
- Confident communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Basic IT skills for reporting and scheduling
Working Environment
- Fast-paced, high-volume visitor attraction
- Physical role involving walking, standing, and manual handling
- Rota working pattern, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
