Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, with precision and care
- Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing friendly, attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including food preparation areas and serving stations
- Ensure all food safety standards are followed diligently to uphold hygiene and quality control
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, napkins, and ingredients to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including assembling sandwiches or snacks in accordance with health guidelines
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygienic handling of food and beverages
- Previous barista experience is preferred to efficiently make quality drinks and understand beverage recipes
- Experience in serving customers with a friendly attitude that maintains repeat visits
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing inventory counts
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods without sacrificing quality or safety
- Excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
