Domestic Cleaner – Care/Nursing Home

£12.85 per hour | 24 hours per week | Paid Breaks
Shift Pattern: 9:00am – 3:00pm | 4 shifts per week | Alternate weekends
Autumn House Nursing Home is looking for a reliable and hardworking Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly team.
You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors and staff. This is an active, hands-on role that involves being on the go throughout your shift and cleaning a range of areas across the home.
Main Duties
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
- Cleaning residents’ bedrooms, en-suite facilities and communal areas
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and cleaning surfaces
- Cleaning and caring for fixtures and fittings
- Following the home’s cleaning schedules and rotas
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
- Following COSHH, infection control and health and safety procedures
- Using appropriate warning signs, such as wet floor signs
- Reporting hazards, damaged equipment or maintenance concerns
- Respecting residents’ privacy, dignity and personal belongings
- Attending training and staff meetings when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Comfortable working in an active role involving bending, reaching and cleaning less accessible areas
- Kind and respectful when working around older people
- Available to work alternate weekends
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
