Senior Accountant with experience in further/higher education to support financial management, reporting and governance.
This is a broad role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior managers and budget holders, providing financial insight and helping drive strong financial decision-making and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
- Provide financial analysis and advice to senior managers and budget holders.
- Support statutory accounts, financial returns and audit processes.
- Maintain robust financial controls and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to improving financial systems, reporting and processes.
- Support project, investment and business case evaluations.
- Mentor and support finance colleagues.
About you
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent) with at least three years' post-qualification experience.
You will have strong experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
