Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant (Days) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents within a care home environment or through home care services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively during daytime hours. Experience in care settings, along with driving skills, is advantageous to ensure smooth delivery of personalised care plans and assistance.
Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Implementing and following personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents or service users
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with prescribed instructions
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment at all times
- Communicating effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Using IT systems to update records and document care activities accurately
- Driving to appointments or care visits when required (if possessing driving skills)
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting others’ wellbeing
- Flexibility to work during daytime hours on a full-time basis

Pay: £13.61 per hour
