A role with real purpose - and real variety.
This isn't a heads-down compliance role. As Onboarding Accountant, you'll be the first face new clients see when they join one of the area's most active practices - and you'll set the tone for every relationship that follows.
For up to three months per client, you'll own the onboarding journey end-to-end: understanding their circumstances, preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and self-assessment returns for directors and HNWIs, and making sure the handover to the wider team is seamless. It's a role that blends strong technical work with genuine client-facing responsibility - rare at this level.
Why this practice?
This is a large national firm dedicated to small businesses, with locations nationwide. Locally, this is an independently-run practice with a supportive, ambitious owner who has a great track record of backing staff through their studies and career development. If you're partway through ACCA, ACA, or IFA - this is the kind of employer that will invest in getting you to the finish line.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified AAT, or meaningfully progressed through ACCA / ACA / IFA
- Solid technical grounding in statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax, and personal self-assessment
- Confident communicator - you'll be the consistent face clients remember
- Someone who takes pride in building quality client relationships - comfortable on the phone and in face-to-face meetings.
What's on offer:
- Salary benchmarked at £32,000, with flexibility for a strong candidate
- Study support and genuine progression within a growing practice
- A varied, client-facing remit that will genuinely build your confidence and your CV
- The stability of an established national brand, with the culture of a close-knit local team
Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
