Service Manager – Supported Living (Band 3)

£35,000 per annum
Full Time – 40 Hours per Week
Lead a Brand New Specialist Service
Due to continued growth, Homesdale Supported Living is opening a brand new specialist supported living home in Bexleyheath and we are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead the service from day one.
You will oversee a specialist service supporting four young men aged 20-30 with complex learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern. For some of the people we support, this will be their first experience of living away from home, making this a truly rewarding opportunity to support people through a significant life transition.
The service will deliver approximately 600 support hours per week and will be supported by an Applied Behaviour Analyst, Registered Manager and Senior Leadership Team.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 15-20 staff
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the service
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred support is delivered
- Manage recruitment, rotas, supervisions and performance
- Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support plans
- Work alongside the Applied Behaviour Analyst to improve quality of life outcomes
- Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents and investigations
- Complete audits and drive continuous improvement
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals and commissioners
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a Service Manager, Deputy Manager or senior leadership role within adult social care
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism
- Experience supporting people who display behaviours of concern
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support
- Experience of PROACT-SCIPr-UK®, PBS, Studio III, MAPA or similar approaches
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of safeguarding, MCA and DoLS

Career Progression
This role sits within our Band 3 Service Manager structure.
As Homesdale continues to grow, managers can progress through our leadership framework:
- Band 3 – Up to 600 support hours
- Band 2 – Up to 900 support hours with Assistant Service Manager support
- Band 1 – Up to 1,400 support hours with a full-time Assistant Service Manager
As services expand, successful managers may progress through the bands with increased responsibilities and salary progression.
