Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker/ Sitter to join our pet care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily exercise and companionship to dogs of various breeds, sizes and temperaments ensuring their safety and well-being during services. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, promote animal health, and build strong relationships with clients and their canines. With development pathways into day care and training.
LNC Canine Club operates in the following areas: Wembley, Kenton, Harrow, Pinner, Ruislip, Ickenham, Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Denham, Harefield, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and surrounding areas. We are looking for new reliable team members who are able to cover these locations.
Responsibilities
- Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring they are exercised and mentally fulfilled appropriately according to their needs.
- Monitor dogs during walks to guarantee safety and prevent any behavioural issues.
- Provide basic animal care, including feeding, administering medication if required, and cleaning up after dogs.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including equipment and walking areas.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behaviour, health concerns, or special instructions and other team members.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of both animals and staff during all activities.
- Develop knowledge and skills to progress into training avenues.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience or animal care background is preferred but not essential.
- Reliable with excellent communication skills - the clients and business depends on this
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners.
- Ability to handle large or heavy dogs safely, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
- Passion for animals with a caring and responsible attitude towards pet welfare.
- Reliable transportation or access to local areas where walks will take place.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and be organised in scheduling daily walks. This position is ideal for individuals who love animals, enjoy outdoor activity, and are committed to providing excellent care for pets in their community.

- Relevant insurances, licences, first aid & DBS certificates (Can be obtained prior to signing of any Sub-Contractor Agreement)
Pay: £12.00-£72.00 per hour
