About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to join us at our Bootlegger Bath venue. With vintage charm, killer cocktails and an unbeatable live music scene, Bootlegger is one of Richmond's best loved night spots. We want someone who’s passionate about the local bar scene, loves getting stuck in, and can help lead a high energy team through late night service and packed out weekends.
As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to make sure every shift runs smoothly, the team feels supported, and guests keep coming back for more.
This is a full time role based on a 45 hour working week.

What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the GM with daily operations
Running smooth, high-energy shifts
Leading and motivating the team on the floor
Helping manage rotas, stock, training and standards
Making sure the vibe is always on point and the bar looks sharp
Keeping everything safe, clean, and compliant
Being a welcoming, positive presence for both guests and team
What You Bring to the Table
Previous experience in a bar or hospitality leadership role (bar manager or above)
A love for great service, great drinks and even better atmosphere
The ability to stay calm, lead confidently and solve problems on the fly
A hands-on attitude and a natural way with people
A decent understanding of bar operations, licensing and compliance
