Well Kept Group are currently looking for an experienced maintenance assistant to join there team.
As a Property Maintenance Assistant, you will ensure the exterior areas and grounds of our properties are safe, clean, and well-presented. This role is highly practical, focusing on routine window cleaning, clearance of unwanted items/waste, and comprehensive grounds keeping to maintain high standards across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
Grounds Maintenance & Upkeep
- Mow, edge, and trim lawns, hedges, and shrubbery using manual and powered gardening equipment.
- Clear driveways, paths, and car parks of litter, fallen leaves, and weeds.
- Ensure safe pedestrian access during adverse weather by clearing snow and gritting pathways.
Window & Exterior Cleaning
- Perform regular internal and external window cleaning on ground and first-floor levels (utilizing water-fed poles and traditional methods).
- Clean and clear gutters, fascias, and soffits of debris to prevent blockages.
- Pressure wash patios, driveways, and communal areas as directed by the site manager.
Property Clearances & Removals
- Assist with clearing void properties, removing abandoned items, furniture, and rubbish.
- Safely load, transport, and dispose of waste at licensed recycling and disposal facilities.
- Assist with moving heavy furniture, equipment, and materials between properties or storage units.
General Property Maintenance
- Carry out basic handy-person repairs such as fixing fences, gates, and external lighting.
- Report structural damages, potential hazards, or major maintenance issues to the Property Manager.
- Maintain tools, machinery, and company vehicles, ensuring they are clean, safe, and securely stored after use.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or exterior cleaning.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or access platforms.
- A valid UK Driving Licence is highly desirable for transporting waste and traveling between sites.
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety regulations, particularly regarding manual handling and COSHH.
Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
