Duties
- Assist in food production and preparation, including mixing, shaping, and decorating baked goods
- Support the baking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety standards
- Prepare ingredients and assist with portioning dough or batter as required
- Ensure all baked items meet quality standards before packaging or display
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks to ensure a safe working environment
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain smooth bakery operations
Skills
- Experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking within a bakery or kitchen setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of baking techniques and culinary practices
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and hygiene standards in a commercial environment
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong teamwork ethic combined with excellent communication skills
