Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
- Handling materials efficiently and safely across various warehouse areas
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery (training provided)
- Managing stock levels using the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Loading and unloading lorries with care and precision
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely deliveries
- Stocking shelves and maintaining organised storage areas
- Conducting quality control checks to uphold product standards
- Ensuring the warehouse complies with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and forklift operation (certification preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and stock management
- Good understanding of shipping & receiving procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the warehouse setting
