Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team to assist with watering and soft landscaping maintenance until the end of September. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, contributing to the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of landscaped areas. The successful candidate will need the ability to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
There is the opportunity for further, and more varied work, to anyone with an interest in areas such as fencing, forestry, tree works, pond and river enhancement
Duties
- Regularly water plants, beds and freshly seeded areas to ensure optimal growth and health
- Assist with the maintenance of irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting
- Use hand tools such as spades, rakes, and pruning shears for planting and upkeep tasks
- Operate mechanical equipment - water pump
- Support general landscape maintenance activities including weeding, pruning, and fertilising
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all tools and equipment are stored safely after use
- Collaborate with team members
- Working as part of a 2 man team, based on a larger site with other operatives and work being carried out.
Experience
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, CSCS card.
- Drivers licence to manoeuvre around the sites, trailer towing experience would be benefitial.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is advantageous
- Familiarity with mechanical tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as generators would be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools used in gardening or landscaping tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to landscape maintenance and horticulture
Pay: £150.00-£180.00 per day
