Role: Children’s Residential Care Worker (Days/Evenings)
Hourly Rate: £13.00, or £13.50 with Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Health & Social Care (or once obtained)

RELIEF CARE WORKERS: Various shifts available – £13.00 per hour
Key Information
- If shortlisted, you will be required to complete an application form as part of our safer recruitment process.
- Our Home spans three floors; a good level of physical fitness is necessary due to frequent use of stairs throughout shifts.
- We offer a fully funded NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, willingness to work towards this is essential.
- All necessary ID checks, including an Enhanced DBS, will be conducted prior to appointment.
About the Role
Join our warm, empathetic team supporting children with Autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs. Your role will involve helping them develop communication, practical, and life skills while respecting their privacy, dignity, and individuality.
No two days are ever the same; tasks include household duties, personal care assistance, medication administration, and supporting a safe, nurturing environment. Your attention to detail and knowledge of safeguarding, Health & Safety, and hygiene will be vital in this rewarding role.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience providing compassionate care to children or young people or caring for a loved one (parental experience included).
- Good listening skills and genuine interest in children’s needs. Effective verbal communication or willingness to learn sign language (training in Makaton and PECS provided).
- Understanding of confidentiality and ability to complete necessary paperwork with basic literacy and numeracy.
- Honest, dependable, empathetic, and proactive individuals who are eager to learn and contribute positively.
