Role Purpose
Hexigone is seeking a reliable individual to work in our manufacturing team to assist in the manufacturing process. The role involves preparing materials, operating manufacturing equipment, maintaining production records, supporting stock control activities, and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and safety throughout the manufacturing facility. All training will be provided.[PD1]
The postholder will be responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining traceability and production records, supporting continuous improvement activities, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate, monitor, and clean manufacturing equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety requirements.
· Manufacture products, including AX1 and other materials, to required quality and traceability standards.
· Prepare raw materials and packaging materials for production activities.
· Record production data including stock levels, batch numbers, product weights, samples, and materials usage.
· Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
· Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and goods movements within the manufacturing area.
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with 5S workplace organisation principles.
· Operate a Forklift Truck safely within the manufacturing facility (full training will be provided).
· Carry out routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
· Report any Health & Safety concerns, near misses, accidents, or incidents promptly.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate written records.
· Willingness to learn and take on new tasks and processes.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
· Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks and physical work in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to record data, complete logs, and maintain digital records.
· Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to work.
Desirable Skills & Experience
· Experience within a manufacturing, production, chemical, coatings, or industrial environment.
· Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, including safe chemical handling and PPE/RPE use.
· Forklift Truck (Counterbalance) licence.
· Experience working with production documentation and stock control systems.
