We are seeking a Project/Proposals Manager to join our team based in Leeds. The Project/Proposals Manager will effectively manage tenders and contracts allocated in such a manner as to ensure completion on time, to budget and in accordance with the contractual, commercial, technical and quality specifications required by the contract or tender, ensuring good practice methodologies and provision of internal control documentation / information.
The key responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:
· Preparation of proposals with respect to cost, quality, safety documentation, specifications etc ensuring they are commercially and financially viable.
· Continuously assessing the procedure and methods of proposal preparation and wherever possible introduce processes that are more streamlined in order to minimise preparation costs.
· Act as the Company’s representative with the client on all matters relating to a contract; attending the initial handover meeting, regular contract review meetings both internally and externally and overall manage all communication with the client.
· Implement the overall contract programme, monitor, progress, and update same on a regular basis in accordance with the contract requirements.
· Responsible for the register and issue of all controlled documentation including the maintenance of a Master File of correspondence in relation to the Contract.
· Manage Contract risk including Identifying Contract amendments, establishing cost and time implications of the amendments, seeking the relevant approval both internally and externally.
· To be aware at all times the status of Contracts under their responsibility and promptly report on any matter which is likely to seriously impair the company’s performance of that contract or cause any serious concern to the client.
· Co-ordinate design and calculation documentation to satisfy customer requirements.
· Undertake design-make/buy/install/commission reviews and interface both internally with departments and externally with clients.
· Ensure the Company Contract closure procedures are rigidly followed.
· Undertake any other duties which may be necessary to ensure quality, safety and the needs of the client are met.
Education & Qualifications
Preferably a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent, or alternatively a minimum of an HNC in an appropriate engineering discipline with demonstrable experience in a similar role / environment.

· Project management experience with extensive knowledge of proposal / tender preparation
· Capable of understanding complex engineering drawings
· Strong commercial awareness/knowledge
· Understand and apply financial information
· Able to deal with all levels of management and staff
· Excellent oral/written communication and report writing skills
· Excellent planning and organisational skills
· Knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Project
Knowledge of materials handling equipment
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and be willing to complete all necessary paperwork if required in order to gain the required security clearance to work at certain sites outside of the Leeds office (main base/location. Such paperwork must be completed within the time frame given.
Pay: £48,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
