Personal Assistant Required
We are looking for someone to work as a personal assistant (PA). We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, a good communicator, with a good sense of humour. You will show compassion, dignity and respect towards others. You will need to have an understanding of Safeguarding Adults.
As a P.A., you will support a 75-year-old man, whohas Parkinson’s, with: promoting independence, support with some aspects of personal care, meal times, some food preparation, with going out into the community and some light house work.
You will work in his home in the Nettleham area and support trips out in the local area. The hours required are 4 hours on a Wednesday (split between morning and evening), 4 hours on Thursdays (split between morning and evening), alternate Friday evenings and every Saturday morning. PA hours also required for Saturday evenings and 4 hours Sundays (split between morning and evening).
You must have a clean driving license and held it for at least one year. However, due to Business Travel Requirement and Insurance restrictions, the successful candidate must be over 21 years of age.
The rate of pay will be £14.00 per hour (on a self-employed basis) you’ll be given a full induction and training provided, when in post, by a Senior PA. During induction, there is an opportunity to complete a care certificate. On completion of probationary period, there is also opportunity to gain level 2 in Adult Social Care, which will be supported. Youneed to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK and willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check, which will be paid for by the employer.
